The short version

Onshore Mechanical is a family-run commercial and residential HVAC contractor based in Huntington Beach, California. Founded by Brock Dains, we keep businesses comfortable and equipment running across Southern California.

How we got here

Brock started this company the way most good mechanical contractors start — by showing up, doing the work right, and earning repeat business one building at a time. That hasn’t changed. We’re still family-operated, still hands-on, and still the company that picks up the phone when your system goes down on a Friday night.

We’ve grown from a small service outfit into a full design-build mechanical contractor holding three licenses: HVAC, C-10 electrical, and sheet metal fabrication. That means we handle the whole job — system design, new construction, ductwork fabrication in our own shop, electrical wiring in-house, and ongoing service — without farming work out to subs.

What we believe

Show up when you say you will. Sounds basic. It’s not. In this industry, half the battle is finding a contractor who actually returns calls and keeps appointments.

Be honest about what the building needs. We don’t sell equipment you don’t need. If a repair makes more sense than a replacement, we’ll tell you — even when the replacement pays us more.

Do it right the first time. Our reputation is built on referrals. Every job we cut corners on is a customer we lose. We don’t cut corners.

We’re a crew of experienced commercial HVAC technicians, electricians, and sheet metal fabricators. Most of our guys have been with us for years. When we send a tech to your facility, they’ve likely been there before and already know your equipment.
